"Military Engineer Support to Security Cooperation Operations" is a new article co-written by APCSS Army Fellow Lt. Col. John Lloyd  and Captain Chad Livingston published in the Army Engineer Magazine . The article looks at ways to improve the current degree of synchronization between various agencies including the U.S. Department of Defense. According to Lloyd, "(agencies) must redefine their roles in security cooperation and develop a "whole-of government" approach." It addresses how U.S. military engineers should best implement Interagency Planning for Security Cooperation activities, and how engineers should redefine their role in security cooperation to better encompass 21st century challenges. APCSS professor earns a Ph.D.

Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies professor Lori Forman officially earned her Ph.D. in Public Policy and was recognized by staff and faculty at the Center today. A significant milestone, Forman’s achievement is particularly noteworthy because her dissertation was submitted in Japanese and approved by the prestigious Faculty of Law, Keio University, in Japan. Prior to her arrival at APCSS in the summer of 2011, Dr. Forman had been pursuing her Ph.D. and received a telephone call at 1 a.m. this morning advising her that her dissertation had been approved.  […]

Nineteen Fellows completed the Senior Executive Asia-Pacific Orientation Course (SEAPOC) 12-1 at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies on Jan. 20. Mongolian alumnus releases new book
