Indo-Pacific Orientation Course (IPOC)
The Indo-Pacific Orientation Course (IPOC) provides an executive education experience for mid-career to senior-level security practitioners to enhance their ability to engage in cooperative security efforts, advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific. IPOC offers a unique opportunity for security practitioners with an extraordinary range of professional experience, levels of education, and perspectives to engage intensively on regional security issues.
The Mobile IPOC (MIPOC) delivers comprehensive content on regional security issues, cooperative security efforts, and the principles of a free and open Indo-Pacific directly to key regional partners unable to attend the resident course in Honolulu. MIPOC has expanded its outreach and educational initiatives by bringing its expertise to locations such as Camp Humphreys for United States Forces Korea, as well as to Japan and Washington, D.C.
IPOC is organized around three themes: Regional Overviews, Security Approaches to the Indo-Pacific, and Crosscutting Challenges & Opportunities. Plenary presentations during the course highlight the role played by good governance, cooperation, and the rules-based order in promoting traditional military security, economic security, cyber security, maritime security, and climate security, among other spheres. Those plenary presentations are augmented with daily small seminar sessions that consolidate learning, elicit diverse perspectives, and promote critical thinking and analysis among fellows.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate and Alumni Status.
- IPOC is tuition-free. Fellows or sending organizations are responsible for travel, lodging, per diem and other incidental costs.
