Captain Joshua P. Taylor came to the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in December 2022 following his tour as South Asia Division Chief at U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. Captain Taylor is an Indo-Pacific Foreign Area Officer (FAO) native of Mahwah, New Jersey. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1997, receiving a Bachelor of Science in History. Commander Liam Connel joined the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS) in July 2022 following a tour as the legal advisor to the Director, Navy Staff in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.
